ADFP to Kick-Off ADFP University Webinar Series

Wednesday, March 5th at 3pm EST (12pm PST)

Stock Options and Restricted Stock

Presented by:
Thea Glazer, CFP®, CDFA™, MS Accounting

Dealing with complex types of executive compensation, including stock options (ISOs, NQs) and restricted stock (RSUs) can be daunting and sometimes overwhelming. This presentation will demystify the topic for you and help you get up to speed for your practice and your clients. You will learn about the terms, how to value, divide, their characteristics and how to manage the tax ramifications surrounding options and RSUs.

Working with stock options and restricted stock is complex and difficult, not to mention a potentially tremendous piece of the client's net worth. Equity compensation can be very complex, vary from plan to plan and between public and private companies, and are often overlooked and/or undervalued. Among other things, this 100 minute presentation will answer:

  • How do you know they exist?
  • What are they worth?
  • Do you value them for offset or defer division?
  • How does the non-employee spouse get his or her share?
  • What about taxes?

Who should attend this webinar?

  • Divorce Financial Planners
  • Matrimonial Attorneys
  • Mediators
  • Accountants

This session will be presented by Thea Glazer (CFP®, CDFA™, MS Accounting) who has been working with divorcing individuals and their counsel since 1985. She has written numerous articles on stock options and restricted stock and regularly gives presentations to accounting and legal professionals on these topics. She has been an expert in this area since 1998. Click here for information about Thea Glazer.

The cost of the webinar is just $59 for ADFP members ($69 for non-members). In addition, all participants in the ADFP University Webinar Series receive 1 ADFP Conference Point, worth $25 toward the cost of the ADFP Annual Conference, for each webinar session attended.

In addition, you will receive 2 CE Credits for your webinar attendance.

Become better prepared to meet the challenges of your practice while earning CE credits with valuable, deployable educational materials, brought to you by the ADFP, a not for profit 501(c)6 professional organization.
